Publication on FY23 Iowa Library Statistics Now Available
June 06, 2024The State Library has published an updated document compiling statistics from the FY23 Public Library Annual Survey. The “Big Stats Book” as it’s known in house contains information on income, expenditures, collections, circulation, programs, staff, and more.

New "Find My Local Library" Interactive Map Tool from the State Library
September 28, 2023A new tool is now available on the State Library website to help Iowans and visitors locate and connect with their local public library. The “Find My Local Library” tool displays an interactive and informational map of all the public libraries in the state.

State Library Awarded $246,000 Grant to Further Support Social Work Efforts in Iowa Libraries
August 08, 2023The State Library has been awarded a grant of more than $246,000 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as part of the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program. The grant will be used on efforts to support the psychosocial needs of Iowa library staff and patrons.
