The three authors of the 2024 All Iowa Reads titles will appear in virtual visits this June. The visits are free and open to the public; registration is required.

At each event, the author will be joined by a moderator to discuss their books, creative process, and hear questions from attendees. Attendees will have the option to submit a question ahead of time when registering, or may include a question in the chat during the event. Reading the author’s All Iowa Reads title in advance is encouraged, but not required. The events will NOT be recorded.

The State Library is sponsoring these conversations to give all Iowans a chance to hear from the All Iowa Reads authors.

The dates and times for the visits are listed below; click the dates to register for each event:

The Adult author visit will be moderated by All Iowa Reads Committee member Mara Strickler. The Kids and Teens author visits will be moderated by Tanya Rastogi, the 2024 Iowa Student Poet Ambassador, and Janeé Jackson-Doering, State Library of Iowa.

Library book clubs are especially encouraged to attend the visits. A PDF poster promoting the visits is available for libraries to download, print, and share with their book club members and patrons:

About All Iowa Reads

Established in 2003, the purpose of All Iowa Reads is to foster a sense of unity through reading. Iowans are encouraged to come together in their communities to read and talk about a single book title in the same calendar year. All Iowa Reads consists of three programs, each with one title chosen per year: adults, teens ages 12-18, and kids ages 8-12.

All Iowa Reads is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of Iowa.
