ILOC 2025 is set for Thursday, January 30, 2025! Iowa library directors and staff are encouraged to mark their calendars and consider submitting an idea for a session on statistics and/or evaluations.

The 2025 theme is Assess, Adapt, Act: Making Evaluation Count. Attendees will consider why we collect statistics and evaluations and how we make them useful. Ideas for presentation topics may include:

  • Using statistics to your best advantage
  • Figuring out which stats matter
  • Determining which data sources to use to evaluate
  • Finding new ways to collect evaluations
  • Using Project Outcome, or other software to gather evaluation data
  • Leveraging technology for evaluation
  • Engaging stakeholders in the evaluation process
  • Communicating results from data collection
  • Using visualization to present results
  • Evaluating impact beyond usage statistics
  • Showcasing how you used data and evaluations to create/modify library services or facilities
