Special Events

The State Library offers a variety of different annual or bi-annual events and conferences for Iowa librarians. Click on each event to learn more.

All Special Events

  • Iowa Libraries Online Conference

    Held each January, ILOC is a free all day virtual conference for Iowa librarians and board members.

  • STEM Fairs

    Held in March every other year, STEM Fairs give librarians ideas on how to incorporate STEM concepts at their library.

  • Summer Reading Summit

    This spring event provides an in-person opportunity for librarians to put the finishing touches on summer reading plans.

  • Youth Services Conference

    The State Library offers an in-person event for youth librarians every other year in the spring.

  • Director Roundtables

    Director Roundtables are held in the spring and include a workshop and networking opportunities for directors.

  • Learning Circuit

    The fall Learning Circuit offers in-depth educational sessions on innovative programs & library trends.
