How Do I Complete the Public Library Annual Survey?

Refer to the instructions and print version of the Annual Survey to gather the necessary data. Some data will be imported automatically, including data from WhoFi, if your library uses their tools. You can also reference a resource below on appropriately counting electronic resources for the Annual Survey. Note that the final survey must be completed online.

The above resources will be available summer 2025 ahead of the Annual Survey filing season.

Log in to the Bibliostat CollectConnect platform using your library's username and password that was sent via email. This is the platform where you will enter the current survey information, but you can also view and download past submitted surveys.

To request your library's Bibliostat CollectConnect login information, email Toni.Blair@iowa.gov. 

Input data where appropriate. Some lines will automatically make calculations based on the numbers entered. Data that is automatically imported is not able to be changed. If you notice any inaccuracies with the imported data, contact Gary Krob.

Once all survey data is entered and submitted, a separate signature page, signed by the library director and board president, is required to be submitted to certify the survey data is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

The Signature Page will be available summer 2025 ahead of the Annual Survey filing season.
