Under the general direction of the Head of Youth Services, coordinates and assists with youth programs, specifically the summer reading program, assists library staff and customers with programs (at the library and offsite), projects and questions.
This is an internship which is not a permanent position and is being made available to individuals seeking work experience prior to graduating from an accredited college/university. Ideal candidates will work from date of hire through Mid-August 2024.
Must be a current undergraduate student in elementary education, library science, drama, art, music or related field, and have completed at least two years of coursework or equivalent work experience.
Current graduate students enrolled in a library science program will be considered.
For all candidates, continued college education must follow completion of internship.
Must be outgoing, flexible and enjoy working with children (pre-K – 6th grade) and teens.
Must have a good driving record.
