Dordt University is seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to join our library team. This dual-focus role is responsible for overseeing the physical university archives and managing digital content within Dordt Digital Collections.
The Opportunity
You will ensure that the stories, achievements, and historical records of Dordt University are preserved and accessible for generations to come.
Key responsibilities
•Managing the institutional repository and obtaining necessary permissions for digital submissions.
•Collecting, organizing, and preserving official university historical materials.
•Serving as a member of the Library’s Reference Team to provide research assistance and instructional guides.
•Coordinating student employees and volunteers to assist with archival tasks.
•Shaping the policies and procedures that guide our collection management.
What You Bring
•A Bachelor’s degree is required. Prior experience in a library, archives, or museum is strongly preferred.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to master job-specific applications.
•Exceptional attention to detail (especially in spelling and record-keeping) and strong written/verbal communication skills.
