The Pleasant Hill Public Library is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time Adult Program Specialist.
The Adult Program Specialist plans, coordinates, and implements programs and events for adults that promote lifelong learning, literacy, and community engagement. This position assists with outreach efforts, including attending community events, visiting senior living facilities, and home delivery services; develops and delivers summer reading and activity programs for adults; recommends selection of library materials of interest to adults and seniors; and may assist the Public Services Manager with collection development. The Adult Program Specialist also provides quality patron services and supports related library tasks as needed, under the direction of the Library Director.
This position regularly works 22-23 hours per week, with up to 30 hours per week when on weekend rotation. Weekday hours for this position include a mix of daytime and evening shifts. Flexibility is required to support community events and evolving program needs.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, as demonstrated by prior work experience or documented accomplishments.
$26.22 Hourly
